Down, But Not Out
Tim Cruse | August 22, 2013
My bills are due, the payments are stout;
I may be down, but I’m not out.
My mind is cluttered, I wonder, I doubt;
I may be down, but I’m not out.
My body is aching, it may be gout;
I may be down, but I’m not out.
My hair is disappearing, no new sprouts;
I may be down, but I’m not out.
My job is changing, got to go another route;
I may be down, but I’m not out.
My friend has forsaken, no use to pout;
I may be down, but I’m not out.
My Savior was crucified,
From the tomb He did shout,
“I may be down, but I’m not out.”
“Cast down, but not destroyed” –II Corinthians 4:9
